Putting pressure on the Greek government to live up to it's aid promises
On Friday 15 January, ActionAid Greece delivered 21,415 Hungerfree petitions to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Country Director Gerasimos, Konstantina Papadimitriou, Head of Policy and Campaigns and 19 year-old Caroline from the Bama community in Kenya met the minister.

ActionAid will be distributing over 200 tonnes of food in the Mariani district of Port-au-Prince today, with flour, corn, rice, sugar, tinned fish and jerry cans going to people most in need.ActionAid will be distributing over 200 tonnes of food to 9,000 people in Haiti from today.
Haiti’s earthquake survivors need help and they need it quickly
While finding and helping survivors is the first priority in Haiti, a brutal truth is becoming apparent in Port-au-Prince as tens of thousands of bodies lie in the street: the survivors of the Haiti earthquake, many of whom are suffering from terrible injuries, will be at risk of not receiving the emergency assistance they so desperately need.

An earthquake of magnitude of 7.0 struck Haiti at 16.53 local time (21.53 GMT) on Tuesday. The epicentre approximately miles south of the capital Port Au Prince. The earthquake is the worst seen in Haiti for two centuries...
