Small Scale Farmers Held Back by Lack of Support

Professor Judi Wakhungu, Executive Director of the African Centre for Technology Studies, explains how the majority of the food that is eaten in the developing countries is grown by small farmers, and is usually grown by women. But the policies that are designed to increase the wealth of developing countries are geared not towards small farmers but to large-scale agro-export industries.
The potential of small holder farmers is being held back by their lack of support.
