In the days since the devastating earthquake, many stories have flooded into us from Haiti, from the people we work with, ActionAid staff and ordinary Haitians who have lost everything yet still have the capacity to risk their own lives to help others.

It's the first time that I am working since the earthquake: Guirline's Story

3 year old Cherlandine Alexandre was trapped in the rubble for three days, her mother and baby sister lying dead near her. Her father was unable to care for her so she was taken in by Mona Clervaue, a 53 year old widow living in Philippeau, Port-au-Prince.
The Right kind of adoption in Haiti

Stories from Survivors: Meeting Immacula again
