Lucienne Merilien
Lucienne Merilien, 60, and her husband Mercilien Merilien, 90, have six children, including Marie Lucie, 21.
Lucienne said: "The house fell over completely but no one was injured because we were outside in the yard playing with the children.
"I brought everyone here straight away because it is away from buildings and safer.
"People with kind hearts gave us food - it's only been a snack of rice and beans but it has kept us going.
"My husband Mercilien is 90 and has hypertension. He's in the back of the camp resting. He's not well at all."
Marie Lucie, 21, said she was still attending school and didn't know what was going to happen.
"I haven't talked to any of the t eachers yet but we'll probably miss this year's schooling," she said.
Luceinne said they couldn't go to the countryside as they didn't know anyone there so it would be difficult.
"We're in the lap of the gods," she said.
