Brazil and World Food Day

ActionAid Brasilia's Marcelo Montenegro on the way to the parliament. © ActionAidBrazil kicked off our Global Mobilisation when they took 350 activists – and a 50,000 signature petition - to parliament to demand the right to food in the Brazilian constitution.

At one o'clock on World Food Day, Activistas from all over the world will be coming together to make one minute of noise to show that Governments, rich and poor, need to do better.

In Brazil, the "Noise" will be in Rio de Janeiro, in the nightclubs of the Matrix (Odyssey Theater, Cine Lapa, Choperia Brazooka, Bar da Ladeira, Casa da Matriz, Boteco Salvation, Lane 3 and Drinker Maldita).

The action will be recorded on video and put online along with the "noises" made in other countries.

If you are in Brazil, You can show your support by joining our on-line action centre.
